Overview
Rust-Oleum Gloss Furniture Paint is the ideal finish for adding colour and upcycling furniture, cupboards, wardrobes and more. This fantastic finish needs no priming or sanding on the majority of surfaces and doesn't require wax or lacquer to protect the finished surface. Along with the chic and sleek gloss finish and the wide choice of colours available, this has become one of Rust-Oleum's most popular products.

Preparation
Ensure the surface to be painted is free from dust, grease, debris or flaking paint prior to application.
- If wax has previously been used clean the surface with white spirit
- Sand bare wood prior to painting to give a key
- Prime bare metal with a suitable primer
- This paint is not a stain blocker so knots will need to be treated prior to application
- Advisable to use a primer/sealer on very porous surfaces
Application
We always recommend performing a test patch prior to painting to ensure you are happy with the adhesion and colour.
- Stir thoroughly to ensure consistency of colour
- This product can be applied with a brush or short nap mohair roller
- If applying by brush on wood ensure to follow the direction of the grain
- Allow the first coat to dry for 4 hours and apply a second coat
- Leave for 4 hours to dry before handling the item
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin
Aftercare & Storage
Store in a cool and dry place away from frost and direct sunlight, this paint will be useable for 2 years (unopened) from the date of manufacture.
